Why has Norton added a cryptominer to their antivirus?
I mean, I understand on a technical and financial level, they're on a LOT of computers and are taking a SIGNIFICANT cut, but the damage to their reputation will be... significant. I volunteer at my local library helping old people with computers, almost ALL of them use Norton, and while their computers aren't very good a lot of them will certainly add up to a very large hashing pool.
However, antiviruses have a reputation for destroying performance, and Norton Crypto will only make it worse.
That is all.
